Five Tool: Pro Baseball Career
Privacy Policy

YT Lab ("the developer") makes the mobile game Five Tool: Pro Baseball Career ("the app").
The app has no accounts. What leaves your device is advertising, the career record and owner nickname you put on the global ranking, and usage analytics if you allow them - all set out below.
1. What is processed
There is no sign-up. The app does not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts or precise location. Only the following is processed.
| Data | Processed by | Purpose |
| Advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID) | Google AdMob | Serving and measuring the bottom banner, the interstitials at a career's end and every sixth season, and the rewarded ad you can choose at player creation |
| Purchase receipts | Apple App Store / Google Play | Confirming and restoring in-app purchases |
| Game progress (your shelf of retired players, settings, what you own, game funds, team edits and any image used in them) | Your device | Picking up where you left off |
| Player name, career record, anonymous id | This app's ranking server (Cloudflare) | The global ranking - sent by default, and switchable off on the Rankings screen. A name you typed yourself only with your agreement. See section 7 |
| Owner nickname and the cosmetics shown on the ranking | This app's ranking server (Cloudflare) | Shown on the ranking with your careers - only while you take part. See section 7 |
| Usage analytics (events such as app open, career created, first season completed, retirement; screens viewed, time, session duration, app version, platform, device model, OS version, language, country/region derived from IP, anonymous id, app instance ID) | This app's server (Cloudflare), Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC) | Improving the game - sent only if you choose Allow, and switchable off in Settings at any time. See section 8 |
Careers and the shelf are stored on your device. When a career ends, what section 7 lists is sent to the ranking server; turn off "Take part in rankings" at the foot of the Rankings screen and nothing further is sent. A player name you typed yourself is sent only if you separately agree to publish it.
There is no crash reporting. Usage analytics go to our own server and to Google Analytics for Firebase only if you allow them, and never include names, free text, the advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID) or the IDFV. Images used in team editing never leave the device.
2. Storage
- Everything is kept in on-device storage (shared_preferences) and is removed when you delete the app.
- With the ranking and usage analytics both switched off, nothing reaches a server of ours. Section 7 covers how long an entered career is kept and how to have it deleted. Usage analytics records on our own server are likewise kept until a deletion request is made; Google Analytics event data is deleted automatically after at most 14 months.
3. Advertising
- Ads are a bottom banner, one at the end of a career and one when every sixth season's result closes. When creating a player you can choose to watch a rewarded ad for extra stat rolls. Nothing on top of a screen where you are choosing.
- Google AdMob may process the advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads. See the
Google Privacy Policy.
- On iOS, personalised or non-personalised ads follow your App Tracking Transparency choice. In Europe a consent form is shown first.
- Buying "Remove ads" stops the banner and the interstitials.
4. Payments
- In-app purchases are handled by the App Store and Google Play. The developer never receives card or other financial details.
- The products sold - remove ads, the position pack, Start at 15 in high school and the Supporter Shelf - are all one-off, non-consumable purchases. Game funds are earned by playing and are never sold for money.
- Purchases can be recovered with "Restore purchases" in the app.
5. Sharing
The developer does not sell user data and shares nothing beyond the processing described above (AdMob, app-store billing, and the Cloudflare processing the ranking and usage analytics use, and Google Analytics for Firebase for usage analytics), except where required by law.
6. Your choices
- Deleting the app deletes everything stored on the device.
- Anything you entered into the ranking, and your usage analytics records, can be deleted on request - see section 7. Usage analytics can be switched off in Settings, which also clears anything not yet sent.
- The advertising identifier can be reset or limited in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking; Android: Settings > Ads).
7. Global ranking
The app offers a global ranking. When a career ends, the following is sent to our ranking server. You can switch this off at any time with the "Take part in rankings" switch at the foot of the Rankings screen; once off, nothing further is sent.
- The player's name (up to 16 characters). The game generates one to suit the chosen nationality. A name you typed yourself is sent only if you separately agree to publish it; if you decline, that career is not added to the ranking
- Your career's play record (position, team, per-season games, points, assists, rebounds and rating, national-team caps, retirement age, peak rating, earnings, and similar in-game stats)
- Your owner nickname (up to 16 characters) and the cosmetics shown on the ranking - the nickname you chose on first launch appears beside your careers. Inappropriate words are filtered out on the server, and nothing is sent while you do not take part
- An anonymous id (uid) issued by our service - not a device or advertising identifier, and it changes if you delete and reinstall the app
Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, location, contacts, and email addresses are not sent by this feature.
- Retention - the information above is kept indefinitely, until a deletion request is made.
- Deletion requests - send the "Ranking ID" shown at the foot of the Settings screen to the contact address below, and we will delete every record that id created on our server: its submitted careers, the reports it filed, the reports filed against its own careers, any player it blocked, and its usage analytics records. The one thing this does not delete: if another player blocked this id, that block is their own setting, not this id's data, and it stays in place.
- Where this is processed - the information above is processed and stored on Cloudflare (Workers and D1), and is not shared with any other third party for this purpose.
8. Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
To see, in aggregate, where players stop and how often they come back, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC). It collects data only if you choose Allow on the usage-analytics prompt, and you can switch it off in Settings at any time; once off, nothing further is collected.
- What is collected - app usage events (screens viewed, progress such as a career starting and ending), the app instance ID (a random identifier generated by the SDK), device model, OS version, app version, language, approximate location (country/region derived from the IP address - the IP address itself is not stored by Google Analytics), and session duration
- What is not collected - collection of the advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID) and the IDFV is disabled. No names, contacts or free text are sent.
- Purpose - aggregate statistics such as retention and drop-off points, used only to improve the app. It is not used to identify individuals and is never sold.
- Retention - per the Google Analytics retention settings, event data is kept for up to 14 months and then deleted.
- See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
9. Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
10. About the names in the game
Every league, team, player and coach name in the app is invented and is not connected to any real organisation or person.
